○have the nerve to　：　〜する勇気・度胸がある

『I don't have the nerve to sing in front of people.』
「人前で歌う度胸なんかないよ。」

○keep up with　：　〜について行く

『I can't keep up with the new songs.』
「新しい歌にはついていけないよ。」

本日は『tone-deaf』「音痴の」という英単語を利用した表現をご紹介しましたが、音楽に関する音痴だけではなく、いろいろな「〜音痴」という表現もありますよね。
これは『sense of 〜』という表現を利用すればいろいろな表現ができるんです。
例えば、『I have no sense of direction.』で「私は方向音痴なんです。」や『My mother has no sense of taste.』「母は味音痴なんです。」といったの表現ができるんですよ。
