○year-end party　：　忘年会

『I've got three year-end parties to go to in the next two weeks.』
「この２週間で３つも忘年会があるんだ。」

○must　：　〜に違いない、きっと〜だろう

『Oh, really? You must be busy.』
「へえ、そうなんだ。忙しそうだね。」

○expense　：　出費、費用

『Yeah. My expenses are likely to mount.』
「そうだね。出費もかさみそうだよ。」


■Break Time■　−年の瀬−

年の瀬も差し迫り、お忙しい日々を過ごされている方も多いのではないでしょうか？
この「年の瀬」という表現を、皆さんなら英語ではどのように表現されますか？
これは『the end of the year』と表現できるのですが、例えば『the end of the year rush』とすれば「年の瀬の慌ただしさ」なんて表現もできるんですね。
