○A little bird tell me that　：　風の便りでは

『A little bird told me that John is going to move.』
「ちょっと聞いたんだけど、ジョンが引っ越すんだってね。」


○lately　：　最近、この頃

『He has been very busy lately getting ready to move.』
「最近は引っ越しの準備で忙しい日が続いているみたいだよ。」

○move out　：　引っ越しさせる、運び出す

『When is he going to move out? What can I do for him?』
「いつ出て行くの？何かできることはあるかな？」


■Break Time■　−うわさ−

本日の表現で利用した『A little bird told me that 〜』は直訳すると「小鳥が私に〜と言った」となりますが、これはうわさの出所がわからずはっきり言えないような場合に利用する表現なんですよ。
他にもうわさで耳にしたような場合に『I heard it through the grapevine.』「うわさで聞いたんだよ」といった表現もあります。
